HHAC Welcomes New Executive Director and Association Management Partner

The Home Care and Hospice Association of Colorado (HHAC) is proud to announce that Matt Hansen has been appointed executive director, marking an exciting new chapter in the association’s leadership and advocacy for home-based health and hospice care across the state. HHAC has also partnered with The Solution, an association management firm founded in Colorado, to provide association management and administrative services.

HHAC is also partnering with The Solution, and their Account Manager, Kaylin Fitzpatrick, to help strengthen operations, communications and member services as the association's new association management company. HHAC extends its sincere appreciation to Civica Management and Don Knox for their years of partnership and dedicated service. Their stewardship and commitment have been invaluable in supporting HHAC’s mission and operations through many years.

Hansen brings both passion and proven experience to the executive director role. Since joining HHAC as deputy director in 2021, he has played a key role in advancing the association’s mission and strengthening relationships with members through open communication, collaboration and shared advocacy. He previously served as deputy director for the American Physical Therapy Association’s Home Health Section. Hansen holds a Master’s and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah and an International MBA in Spain.

“I’ve always believed the future of high-quality care is in the home,” said Hansen. “This is an important moment for HHAC, our members, and the clients they serve as we face proposed federal cuts to Medicare home health services and ongoing threats to Medicaid access. Together, we’ll continue championing the providers and professionals who make home-based care possible, while deepening our relationships with policymakers and partners to ensure Coloradans can live safely and independently at home.”

HHAC Board President Bob Gossett welcomed Hansen’s leadership, noting: “Matt’s deep knowledge of home-based care and his commitment to collaborative, forward-looking leadership will ensure HHAC remains strong, effective, and connected — not just across Colorado, but nationally.”
