HCAC members are invited to participate in the councils and project teams of the Home Care Association of Colorado...the only trade association representing the home care industry in Colorado.

In an effort to make the volunteer efforts of our members as valuable, effective and fulfilling as possible, the HCAC councils will coordinate and direct the work of the association's project teams; our project teams will research issues, develop positions, and carry out the work of HCAC. Your agency must be a current member of HCAC in order to participate in a council(s).

Five Councils

Eight to twelve persons are appointed to serve on each of these councils. Every effort will be made to appoint qualified persons who represent HCAC's membership profile with a broad diversity in geographic location, type of home care business, size of company and major services. The councils are:

  • Education/Professional Development Council
  • Legislative/Advocacy Council
  • Member Value & Service Council
  • Reimbursement/Regulatory Council
  • Private Pay Council

The councils and project teams work to support HCAC's member companies in their business of providing patient-centered home care and will promote home care as the primary delivery site in the continuum of care. New technology will be a driving force of all efforts. Key themes and priorities for HCAC councils and project teams are:

  • Partnerships with others in the health care and insurance arena
  • Professional Development of our workforce
  • Political clout
  • Payment & Reimbursement that is appropriate
  • Promotion/Message that is consistent
