HCAC Plays Integral Role In Seeking Resolution For New Medicaid System Issues

The Home Care Association of Colorado has played a significant role in attempting to solve the many payment issues created by the launch of Colorado's new interChange system. 

HCAC Government-Affairs Specialist Ellen Caruso has carried messages back and forth between agency billing specialists, state officials and representatives of HPE, or Hewlett Packard Enterprises, the vendor selected by the state to build a system to replace one operated by Xerox. 

 

 

HCAC Greets Seniors, Legislators At Colorado's Senior Lobby Day

The Home Care Association of Colorado greeted scores of seniors and 20 state legislators, including Gov. John Hickenlooper, at yesterday's Senior Lobby Day at the Colorado Capitol. 

Attending the event, for which HCAC was a gold sponsor, were HCAC President Todd Chambers, All The Comfort Of Home; Board Member Lisa Foster, PSA Healthcare; Board Member Iva Lou Bailey, Argus Home Health Care; HCAC lobbyists Ellen Caruso and Betsy Murray; Executive Director Don Knox and Membership Director Sonja Hix-Cortina. 

HCAC distributed to consumers its 2017 Home Care Provider Directory as well as information on how to select a provider. The association spoke to legislators about its current efforts to improve reimbursement, increase access to care, and reduce regulatory burdens.
