HCAC Asks State For Important EVV System Functionality

Posted: Aug. 30, 2018

On behalf of its members, the Home Care Association of Colorado has written to a top state official requesting that certain functionality be included in the new Electronic Visit Verification system to be implemented in Colorado next year.

The requests come directly from HCAC members, who have been meeting frequently in anticipation of the launch of the system.

In the letter, Don Knox, HCAC's executive director, praises the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy & Financing for its efforts to solicit and include stakeholder feedback with respect to EVV implementation.

The association volunteered to offer its "help and expertise" to ensure that Colorado’s final EVV system solution by Sandata Technologies will contain the necessary basic functionality to help providers improve service quality and accuracy of service delivery, as well as help them to combat potential waste and abuse.
