Nominations For Board & Nominating Committee

GET INVOLVED IN YOUR INDUSTRY'S TRADE ASSOCIATION

Beginning in the first quarter of each year, the Nominating Committee requests the names of members to serve as HCAC Board and Nominating Committee members. It is our goal to have fair representation on the Board from all the types of companies present in our membership, including skilled home health; HME; infusion; unskilled home care; hospice. We want to have fair representation from all types of ownership including hospital affiliated; free standing; governmental; not-for-profit; large and small. We also want representatives from each of the geographical regions in the state: the Western Slope, Southeast, Northeast and Metro Denver areas.

Board members commit to serving a three-year term; these terms are staggered so that the makeup of the Board changes annually. We will have several openings on the Board next year due to normal rotation and resignations received in the middle of members' terms. Board members serve HCAC by attending quarterly Board meetings and the annual convention to conduct the business of the association and by chairing Committees that accomplish the mission and vision of the association. Attendance of each entire board meeting and annual convention is mandatory for all board members according to board policy.

In selecting a slate of nominees the Nominating Committee looks at several factors: the applicant's experience in home care, leadership capability and potential, and history of involvement in the work of HCAC.

If you would like to make a commitment to serve on the Board or on the Nominating Committee, please complete this online form.

Please contact any Board member with any questions regarding Board responsibilities or to request information on getting involved with HCAC -- your state trade organization.  The future of the home care industry in Colorado depends on YOU and YOUR involvement!
